Since 1.10.2004: Professor for History of Contemporary Philosophy and Director of the ‚Colli Montinari Center for Studies on Nietzsche and European Culture’ at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy.

2004: Habilitation in Philosophy at TU Berlin, Faculty of Humanities. Postdoctoral thesis: "Fremde Lebensformen. Sprache und Kultur in der Entwicklung von Wittgensteins Philosophie".

1994: Doctorate (PhD) degree in Philosophy at TU Berlin: Die Leidenschaft der Erkenntnis. Philosophie und ästhetische Lebensgestaltung bei Nietzsche von Morgenröthe bis Also sprach Zarathustra, Berlin/New York (de Gruyter) 1997. Tutors: W. Müller-Lauter, G. Abel; grade: “summa cum laude”, Joachim-Tiburtius-Preis 1995 (3. Prize).

Research and Teaching Activity (selection)

Since 2010: Coordinator of the Research Unit at the University of Salento in the Project of Relevant National Interest (PRIN 2009, Ministry for University and Research) "Nietzsche. Edition and Reception“.

Since 2008: Member of the PhD Board of the Post Graduate Programme “Sciences of the Mind and of Human Relations”, University of Salento.

1994-2002: Research associate (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) a) in the Critical Edition of Nietzsche‘s Works (TU Berlin), b) in the project “lineaments of hermeneutics and intercultural comprehension methodologies” (TU Berlin), c) in the project "HyperNietzsche" (LMU München).

Spring 1995: Contract professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Florence, Italy.
